Privacy Policy
What we collect when you use this site, why we collect it, who else handles it, and how to reach us about it. Written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
Who this policy is from
This Privacy Policy describes how Burris Family Ventures LLC DBA GrowthRig (“GrowthRig,” “we,” “us”) handles personal information collected through growthrig.ai, including our Growth Audit request form and the chat available on this site. GrowthRig is a DBA of Burris Family Ventures LLC. It applies to this website only. It does not cover any separate agreement you may sign with us, or any system we build and operate on your behalf for your own customers.
Questions about anything here go to bryan@growthrig.ai.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you submit a request through our Growth Audit form, start a chat, or otherwise contact us, we collect the information you provide:
- your name;
- your email address;
- your phone number, including a mobile number if you provide one;
- business information such as your company name, service category, and website address; and
- the details of the inquiry you submit, including anything you write about your growth bottleneck or ask us in chat.
We use this information to respond to your request, to schedule consultations and appointments with you, to provide the services you ask about or buy, and to send you messages only where you have consented to receive them.
Please do not enter sensitive information — financial account details, government identifiers, or health information — into a free-text field. We do not need it and do not ask for it.
Text message consent records
Our form offers two separate optional text-message checkboxes: one for non-marketing messages about your requested Growth Audit, appointment scheduling, service updates, and account communications, and one for marketing messages. Both start unchecked, neither is required, and you can submit the form with neither checked.
When you make a choice, we record each consent independently: which type of consent it was, whether you selected it, the page you submitted it from, a version marker for the exact wording you were shown, the time our server received it, the phone number you submitted, and any campaign tags present in the address you arrived on. We keep that record so we can show what you agreed to, and so we do not text anyone who did not ask us to. Marketing messages are sent only where the marketing box was checked; submitting the form, or checking only the non-marketing box, never enrolls you in marketing messages.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. Full details are in our SMS Terms & Conditions.
Technical information collected automatically
This site is hosted on Vercel. As with essentially any website, our host processes standard request information in order to deliver pages and protect the service. That includes your IP address, the page requested, timestamps, and information your browser reports about itself such as its user agent. We use this kind of data for delivery, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.
The form also sends the address of the page you submitted from, any campaign tags (UTM parameters) present in that address, and a measurement of how long the form was open before you submitted it. The timing measurement exists to help us tell real submissions from automated ones.
We deliberately do not write the contents of form submissions to application logs.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand which pages get visited and how quickly they load. These report aggregate traffic and performance information rather than building an advertising profile of you. We do not run advertising networks, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking scripts on this site. This site sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing in your browser — your light/dark mode preference, for example, is held in memory for the length of your visit and then forgotten.
When a Growth Audit request is successfully submitted, we record a single anonymous event noting that a submission happened. That event deliberately contains none of your answers — no name, email, phone, company, or message text. It exists only so we can count how many requests the site produces.
Fonts
Our typefaces are served from this website rather than from a font provider, so loading a page does not disclose your IP address to Google Fonts, Fontshare, or any other font host.
Why we use it
- To respond to your request. The details you submit are used to prepare and deliver the Growth Audit or answer the question you asked.
- To schedule consultations. We use your contact details to arrange, confirm, and remind you about appointments you asked for.
- To provide services. If we work together, we use your information to deliver and support what you bought.
- To send messages you consented to. Text messages are sent only to the extent you opted in, and each type of message is sent only under the consent that covers it.
- To keep the site working and honest. Technical data and the form’s anti-abuse checks are used to keep the site available and to filter automated spam.
- To understand demand. Aggregate analytics tell us which pages are useful and which are not.
Who else handles it
We keep the number of third parties small and we do not sell access to your information. The providers that handle personal information on our behalf are:
- Vercel — hosts this website and the form’s intake endpoint, and provides the analytics described above.
- Our CRM and messaging provider — the third-party platform behind the GrowthRig platform, where requests land so we can track and respond to them. If you opt in to text messages, this is also the platform that sends them, and your mobile carrier then carries the message to your handset.
- Our email provider — used to correspond with you after you get in touch.
These providers act as our subcontractors in support services and process information only in order to provide those services to us. Each operates under its own privacy terms, which we do not control and do not restate here.
Beyond those providers, we may disclose information if we are required to by law, legal process, or a lawful government request; where we need to in order to investigate abuse or protect our rights, our systems, or someone’s safety; or in connection with a sale or transfer of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to the information transferred.
Mobile information and text messaging
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Put plainly: your mobile number and your consent choices are used by us, and by the providers that help us deliver our own messages and support, and by nobody else for their own purposes.
We do not sell your personal information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell, rent, or trade leads. We have no advertising relationships that involve your contact details.
This applies with particular force to text messaging: mobile opt-in information and consent will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number and your consent choices are shared only with the service providers that help us deliver messages, and only to the extent needed to provide that service. Those providers may not use your information for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep requests for as long as we need them to respond to you, to carry out any work that follows, and to keep an ordinary record of our business communications. Consent and opt-out records are kept for as long as we may need to evidence them. When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we remove it. Technical and analytics data is retained on the shorter schedules our providers apply to that kind of data. If you would like your information removed sooner, email us and we will take care of it.
Security, and its limits
We have made specific choices to reduce risk: the form posts to our own endpoint rather than to a third-party script, credentials live in server-side configuration and are never sent to your browser, submissions are validated and rate-limited, the site is served over HTTPS only, and we do not log the contents of what you submit.
That said, no method of transmitting information over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot and do not guarantee that your information will never be accessed in a way we did not intend. If we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will handle it in line with applicable law.
Your choices and requests
If you opted in to text messages, reply STOP to any message to stop them, or HELP for help. Each consent stands alone: you can decline marketing messages and still receive the messages about your request, and opting out of texts does not withdraw your Growth Audit request — we will simply reply by email or phone instead. Once you opt out, we keep that opt-out on file and do not undo it by importing or re-adding your number.
You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. You can also ask us to stop contacting you. Several U.S. states give their residents rights along these lines, and the exact rights available depend on where you live and whether the relevant law applies to us.
Rather than making you work out which category you fall into, our practice is simple: email bryan@growthrig.ai with what you want and we will honor reasonable requests. We may need to confirm who you are before acting, so that we do not disclose someone else’s information to the wrong person. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
Children
This site is aimed at business owners and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Where information is processed
We operate in the United States and our providers process information in the United States. If you access this site from outside the U.S., understand that your information will be handled here, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Material changes will be reflected here rather than announced individually, so it is worth checking this page if you are relying on it.
Contact
For any privacy question, correction, or deletion request, email bryan@growthrig.ai. We read every message and reply. Our SMS program is described in full in our SMS Terms & Conditions.
